Behind Flirting

This freaks me out quite a bit! It's creative but just not my style. Check it out and tell me what you think...is this your style or no?

Oh my, I can't wait to order a pair of Winkers so I can flirt with my behind! Uh, maybe not! Female body parts get enough attention and I'm hit on enough as it is...don't need my booty winking at people making them think I'm behind flirting!

Oxygen Is Not Real!

Since childhood I've been the type that had to challenge what wasn't simply evident. If you said the earth rotates, I'd say "prove it!" You had to make me believe it. I think I have passed that on to my nephew. Convo we had when he was 9 or 10:

Me: It's really humid today, makes me want an oxygen mask!

Nephew: I don't believe in oxygen auntie.

Me: What? Why?

Nephew: I can't see it so how do I know it's there?

Me: You know because you're still breathing.

Nephew: I think oxygen is make believe. Can you prove it?

Me: Sure! Close your mouth and pinch your nose shut and see how long you last without the make believe oxygen.

Nephew: No way...

He's a smart cookie, I love that he'd even question something of that nature so young. Reminds me of myself at that age.

Old Hater

I have a sarcastically snotty way of dealing with nosy people who make simple minded comments. Face to face convo with my aunt as I headed out for dinner with Lubby, keep in mind I'm in my 20's...

Aunt: Ooh where are you going?

Mina: Out to dinner with my love

Aunt: I love your shape...

Aunt: Aren't you too old to wear sexy dresses?

Mina: Aren't you too old to be a hater?

She had no further comment...

H&M Orlando FL Update

Ok I'm getting blasted with emails asking when the Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) Orlando will open. So instead of getting repetitive emails, I think it's time for an update, yes? So I found a little info for you Florida H&M lovers.

1. Not only will H&M be opening it's first FL retail store in Orlando at Florida Mall...there will be a second H&M store opening at Seminole Towne Center in Sanford, FL!

2. Both stores are scheduled to open in October. Unfortunately to date, a specific date has not been announced but I should know something in early September. Of course H&M says that though leases are signed, the actual opening dates are tentative. Most likely due to possible delays such as construction, preparation, hiring & training. But it is likely there will not be setbacks, they just have to say that to be safe.

3. H&M is hiring for these store right now at hm.com/jobs

So there is your quick update, I hope to provide more detailed information soon!

Well I got a bunch of goodies from Avon...two ginormous boxes! But I can never wait to put new nail polish on, I like a color to match each outfit I have.

Your Skin Is Looking Rough!

Ooh child, your skin is looking rough! Dry, ashy, flaky...it may start cracking and getting little bumps. Don't blame eczema...did your dermatologist say you have eczema or any form of dermatitis? Let me guess, you Web MD'd your symptoms. Not knocking Web MD, love it and all but seriously not every case of ashy skin is eczema so just admit you have dry skin. Just kidding, but if you know you simply have dry skin and not a skin condition read on.

Now that you've admitted your dry skin drama, let's try to do something about it! Anyone can have dry, ashy skin...even Caucasians. So I've had so many people ask how I get my skin so soft and glowing. Other than showering regularly and using a good moisturizer, I dry brush. When I say that they ask what dry brushing is, how to do it and what the benefits are. So...

Dry brushing is a simple, 5 minute process of brushing the skin. Yes, I said brushing skin. It is actually something you may experience at some spas but you can do it at home for free!

There are a few benefits of dry brushing. A huge topical benefit is that dry brushing exfoliates the skin. Exfoliation is important, get rid of those dead skin cells and embrace soft, smooth looking skin. Also dry brushing is therapeutic and relaxing...like I said, spa treatment!

Have cellulite? Yea most people do, even us skinny minnies. While we cannot eliminate those pesky dimples we can minimize the appearance somewhat. Dry brushing provides circulation which helps decrease the toxins that can cause cellulite and/or the appearance of them. Basically the circulation can shift or help distribute fatty cells evenly on your body to make it look more appealing.

Dry brushing also gives support to your immune system. It has to do with the lymphatic system (ask your doc, google it or Web MD). The circulation from dry brushing jump starts the process of getting rid of toxic waste (basically detoxing your body) through the lymphatic system. I know that all sounds medical heavy but trust me on this one. My immune system isn't that strong but ever since I began dry brushing I have noticed a boost.

Before I tell you how to dry brush, I must give you some warning my lovely doc warned me about. Do not dry brush if:

1. You have diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease.
2. You have been diagnosed with a skin conition such as eczema, psoriasis or have severely sensitive skin.
3. Currently have a rash, open wounds/scratches or infections.

How to dry brush:

You skin should be dry, hence "dry" brushing. So start before you take your shower or bath. Start at the feet and work your way up the body, brushing in circular motions. (Common sense note: Do not dry brush your face).

It is important to brush toward your heart (circulation benefit) so once you get to the upper torso and arms keep that in mind.

Now rinse off in a warm shower and before you get out be brave and turn the water cold. Trust me, you're going to hate the cold water part at first but you will love how refreshed you feel afterward! That's it, you're done.

Once your skin is smooth to your satisfaction, you should continue dry brushing to maintain your great healthy skin. This is not something you have to do every day and it only take a few minutes before you in the shower. Try it out for a while...your body will thank you!

What's Up With Harry Potter?

The Crazy Things We Say

Text conversation between my brother and I...

Bro: Dude, how old is Harry Potter?

Mina: Idk...why?

Bro: I'm just wondering how long he's gonna go to magic school.

Mina: LMAO, good question.

Bro: I mean seriously, is he trying to get a PHD in wizardry or something?

Mina: Hahaha!!!! You're a mess!

Mina: HP is lame like that. Who goes to magic school these days anyway. Why can't he just be weird like David Blaine and perform street tricks?

Bro: ROTFLMAO. Yea man!

Yea, my brother and I are really random...we probably watched HP movies after lol.

It Scared Me

I saw something scary at the store a few days ago. Somehow I just woke up remembering the trauma my delicate eyes went through. Ready for it? Ok...

Aaaaaahhhhhh! My eyes! What is that hideous object? No seriously, what's up with the bag? What are we supposed to put in that thing? I like over sized handbags but I'm not carrying around a bag that I could actually fit inside! Those colors and the tacky material also disturbed me...my eyes need therapy now.

5 Minutes Too Long

As I sit here typing, I have this urge to change something. Anything! I get this feeling a lot. With jobs, appearance, living space, location, television...my site! If I am in a store for a minute and see more than three items I do not like, I am ready to leave. Lol, Lubby knows when I say "I'm over it" that means it's time to go! It really takes something spectacular to hold my attention. And I have to truly love something in order to refrain from making changes. What's up with that?

I have no clue why I get so anxious for change all the time. It doesn't matter what I change as long as I have something different to look forward to. Rearrange a room, get a tattoo, pierce something, dye my hair, switch jobs, move...I even change email addresses just for something new! If something stays the same too long, it loses my attention. That's even regarding conversations and events. Lubby says I have to be entertained constantly otherwise I go off in my own little world. Silly rabbit...but he is right. Lucky for him, he is one thing in my life that can remain constant, no changes necessary. Lucky for me, he's the same way, maybe that is why we click so perfectly.

Right now I'm trying to decide if I am going to do another site makeover...I'm thinking red & gold/yellow. Red is my favorite color, so why not? Question is do I feel like going through graphic and coding changes...I do not know yet. What do you think, keep it as is or go for the change?

On a whole other subject...I'm hungry. That's all.
