2 Toned No More!

Well I finally did it. After all the laziness, outside opinions, numerous changes of mind and endless debate I finally came to a decision regarding what to do about my 2 toned hair. Actually more like 4 toned! See, my natural hair is a mix of medium brown, dark brown and stray red hairs lol. I've colored my hair so many times! But for the last year or so I've been coloring black. So my roots were showing, so I had about 3 inches of my natural color and the rest was soft black (wash out). I've been using gel to make my roots look darker lol.

I use temporary color though, which actually washes out but any chica who's colored her hair black knows that it takes WAY more than 26 washes to get out. You practically have to let it grow out or get the color stripped and that can be a harmful process to your hair. Umm no thanks!

Anywho, I decided to just color it black again. It was the easiest option and best for me. The thought of getting my hair bleached or anything remotely close to that makes me feel light headed lol. I'm also too impatient to wait for it all to grow out seeing as my hair isn't that short. Or wait for it to completely wash out. Even if I had the patience I would've still gone black.

I like it for some reason. It fits me, it's good with my complexion, looks natural and suits my eyebrows. I have blck, black, black eyebrows! Lol. I'm good with my decision but I think I want to go to the salon and get a few very subtle red lowlights put in. I will post a photo of what I'm think about soon.

I Feel The Love

I get such a warm, fuzzy, buttafly feeling when people do special things for me. Especially when it is not expected. My birthday was Sunday (3/22) and so many people took the time to make me feel special for my added year of fabulous awesomeness and wisdom lol.

Yesterday when I went to work, I was welcomed by this awesomeness:

Then it was cake time! My manager picked up a red velvet cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday. The cake was oh so yummy! Everyone also signed a card with many sweet messages. How awesome is that? I heart them!

I had lots of ice cream on my birthday, I mean a lot! I was treated to lunch at Friendly's by my Mama. I spent most of the day with her. After all, is her day as well since she went through labor pains and all.

My love bought me a Blackberry Storm with a 2 year plan which I love! I just have to get used to the caller ID showing his name instead of mine lol. But I'm diggin the Verizon Wireless service. Though they are more expensive than T-Mobile, the customer service and the network itself are far more superior! I say this after having been with T-Mobile for over 10 years. The first 8 years were great, the last 2 is when I was eagerly waiting for my contract to end.

I love my BB Storm. I love the apps too. So easy to get my Facebook and MySpace messages. Twitterberry is so convenient. And my most loved app is VLingo. I just hold in a button, say a command and magic happens! Lol. For example, if I say "Send message to hubby, message hey baby call me when your plane lands". VLingo searches my address book for hubby, types the message I spoke and sends it in a text! This really comes in handy when driving, cooking, etc.

My love also got me a new digital camera. It's times like this when I realize just how spoiled I am! This year he showers me with gifts, last year we went on a 7 day Caribbean cruise. He is also getting me a puppy, we just don't know when. We've been talking about it for a year but never went through with it.

Oh! Also, thanks so much to all who gave so much Birthday love on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. Also thank you for the phone calls, text messages and emails. So many bday wishes, I haven't had a chance to personally thank everyone yet. I heart you all!!!

Josephina's Makeover - 1st Edition

As you know Josephina was in an accident and damage was done to her cutesy physique. Well after spending some dough Josephina's makeover has begun! Here are some before and after photos of the progress thus far.

Josephina's damaged side panel, bumper and light on the front passenger side. The damage to the side panel prevented the passenger door from opening properly.

My awesome, fix it all dad replacing the damaged light and side panel. Now the door opens, I can have a front passenger again, woohoo!

Oh wait! I know what you're thinking! Stop it! I didn't smash Josephina up like that, I got her that way. My love gave me the car because my Ruby had major mechanical issues. Unfortunately this occurred after his friend, who was supposed to buy the car, got into some sort of accident. You can get the full story here.

Anywho, now we just have to paint the side panel and get the back window replaced and Josephina will be like a new ride for me! I will post final pics once the makeover is complete. Yay!

Speaking of Poker Faces...

Do you ever get those times when you feel so down, stressed, sick or just blah? But you put on a happy face and try to go on about your day. Disguising your true status. I think we all have poker faces, a bit of actor/actress in us. The part of us that gives our acquaintances the vision that all is well when really you just want to go home, grab a carton of ice cream and just let it all out! I have had plenty of those days in the last year.

But then there are those moments where you just can't hide it. No amount of vitamins, meds, MAC cosmetics and smiles can help you hide it. Like today, I didn't get out of bed until about 11am! I still want to sleep.

It's 83 degrees outside yet I'm shivering. I look a fool in Florida with socks on bundled under my blanket! I just feel icky. Not to mention I look a hot mess! Yea man, didn't do my hair and I don't plan on it, thank you very much. My blanket doesn't care what I look like! Lol.

Last night my mama was not feeling well as she tried to take my spot on the Most Runny Nose list. Technically I should quarantine her in a cute pink bubble (her fave color) because I catch illnesses so easily. But I heart my mama so I just can't stay away. She's become my biggest comfort the last several months.

Needless to say, today I have no poker face. Today I am just sleepy, bratty, whatever chic. And I am entitled lol. I'm home, doing nothing but chilling with my handy blanket and blogging when I feel like typing. I will resume my typical fabulously awesome behavior tomorrow...maybe!

PS. My goal is to feel amazing by my birthday on Sunday, so rest and relaxation is at the top of my list. This year I am determined to make it 10 times better than last year. I'm letting all of my blah moments out now and getting rid of them.

MM - Poker Face

Music Monday! I just got off the phone with my friend Binx (insider nickname lol). Anywho, she just wanted to tell me another one of her stories about some loser she sent packing. You see Binx is the chic with a "that was fun but you're not me for me, thanks for all the gifts and have a nice life" type of view on dating. She is in no way a player, she does not use guys. She just does not allow herself to care about a guy until he cares for her first.

Plus she is just not looking for love right now, though I hope love finds her someday and she accepts it with open arms. Binx has a superb poker face lol. March is Marvelous!

Oh yes, March is marvelous! Surely you wonder I say this? Well first of all March is full of birthdays of fabulously awesome people. Such as myself, my love, my big brother Shaun, my cousin Tricia, my friend Marlene and her daughter Tariya and the list can go on!

However March is especially marvelous this year because my love already got me a new Blackberry Storm and today a new Sony Cyber-shot camera! My birthday isn't even until the 22nd, isn't he just full of fabulous awesomeness?! Yea, I think so too, that's why I pursued him! (Yes, I went after him. I'm the type of chic that knows what she wants and goes after it! Lol)

Now typically I'm a Nikon kind of gal but I got to play with it before-hand. Plus there was a pretty good deal on it at Best Buy compared to other stores. I believe many Sony cameras are cheaper if you buy them from the online Sony store but usually the difference isn't that big. Plus I'm not patient enough to wait for items to ship and when it comes to electronics I often worry about damage during shipment. Anyway, I heart Nikon but this Sony camera is spicy! It's charging so I can set it up and start snapping soon!

I'm Back!!! *

So I have been M.I.A. for the last week but I'm back in action! So many things were going on. I wasn't feeling well and life has just been crazy. But I am back on track and starting to feel better...just super tired. My fabulously awesome posts will return on a regular basis.

Oh!!!! Amongst all the craziness, I got a Blackberry Storm thanks to my love!!! Early Happy Birthday to me! I love, love, LOVE my new phone and I am diggin the Verizon network! My actual birthday is March 22nd and he might be getting me the new digital camera I want. My boo is simply amazing!

And last but definitely not least, I want to wish Lazy King a very Happy Birthday!!!

Anniversary Of His Birth! And Some Other Junk

So typically on a person's birthday we say Happy Birthday. But I like to be different, I have my own way of saying things. So instead of saying the regular, today I said to my love Happy Anniversary of Your Birth! Yay!!! He's away for work but that is okay, I have some special deliveries for him throughout the day. I will plan something special when he comes home as well. I miss my sunshine, he is the best person that has come into my life and he brings such joy!

I love my boo's birthday!!! I love our birth month, we are both March babies.

I am starting to feel better, apparently there has been some little flu going around. Which once again proves my theory of cooties! Lol. A few people I know have actually told me they are sick. Even my love was feeling a bit icky. He would probably try to say he caught it from me through the telephone...silly rabbit! Anywho, I'm feeling better, super tired but no more sneezing, sore throat or achy muscles.

Today is an awesomely fabulous day!

MM - Differences

So it is Monday again! Tomorrow is my love's birthday! Yay! So this week for Music Monday I chose a song that makes me think about my boo, Differences by Ginuwine. I am such a dork about my love's birthday. I make it such a big deal...I even say Happy Birthday to his mommy. After all, it is because of her that he was born and we can celebrate the fabulous anniversary of his birth! She raised such an extraordinary man, she deserves recognition as well lol.

The lyrics in the chorus are such a great representation of how I feel about having him in my life.
