I Am NOT A Bad Driver!!!
They keep looking at me! I am a flippin good driver! Let me explain. My love recently gave me his Jeep Grand Cherokee because my Ruby (2000 Ford Focus) was on mechanical meltdown. Sidestep here: the condition of Ruby was not my fault as I bought her used in 2005 out of the classifieds. The previous owner did not maintain the car and my father had to do several repairs on a regular basis to keep her running!Now, back to the Jeep (JoAnn), so my baby knows my car is taking a long, possibly permanent rest. A few years ago, my love got a Mercedes Benz but instead of trading in his Jeep, he allowed his friend to take over the payments. Well, his friend recently had some issues and could no longer pay. So the car was taken back and given to me to use. Well, while homeboy had the car he smashed the poor thing up! I'm talking busted head light, blown back tire. A dented side panel that keeps the front passenger door from opening properly. Shattered rear back window and mechanical damage. Don't even get me started about the interior!
To start the car, you have to try it 2-4 times before it will run, resulting in that stalled car sound. So now when I am in a parking lot trying to start the car, I get these stares from people. The stare that says "Man that girl messed that car up!". All I can do is look at them, laugh and say "I didn't do it!"
I am a good driver! I have no points against my license. I have no speeding or traffic violations. Not because I do not get caught, but because I actually do my best to obey the laws of the road! I care about the safety of everyone on the road. Also, I do not go to work full time to give my hard earned money back to the state over a stupid ticket! Anyway, I appreciate getting the car as I would have had no transportation to work, etc. Now, if any of you happen to see out there in a parking lot or on the road, you know the deal so don't give me that "chic driver" look. We are going to get JoAnn fixed up a bit, so the Jeep Wrecker label will be a thing of the past soon. Then I will get my Acura TL later this year.
